Discover the Magic: The Inspiration and Process Behind 'Momentary Peace'

Sarah Simmerman
Hello, friends! I am thrilled to introduce you to my latest artwork, "Momentary Peace." This 18" x 18" acrylic & copper original painting is a true labor of love, inspired by my personal journey of self-discovery and inner growth.
Momentary Peace, original abstract artAt first glance, "Momentary Peace" features vibrant mesmerizing colors. The background transitions from swirling shades of purple to fiery red, evoking a sense of movement and fluidity reminiscent of a cosmic phenomenon or ethereal landscape. The seamless blend of hues creates depth and plays with light and shadow, inviting viewers to get lost in its dynamic energy.

But the real magic happens when you focus on the intricate details within the piece. Superimposed on the vibrant backdrop are geometric shapes and lines in black and copper, creating a striking contrast with the softer underlayer. The structured nature of these elements, dominated by vertical and horizontal lines, gives the artwork an air of opulence and order.

In the center of the piece, you'll find three small rectangular copper pieces that catch the light and create a tactile, three-dimensional effect. Surrounding them are black shapes and lines of varying lengths and orientations, resembling an abstract architectural blueprint or schematic drawing. This juxtaposition of organic and structured elements invites contemplation of the relationship between chaos and control, the natural and the man-made.

The process of creating "Momentary Peace" was truly a unique journey. Each copper sheet was meticulously hammered to create texture before being affixed to the canvas, adding a tactile and visually intriguing dimension to the artwork.

Overall, "Momentary Peace" is a visual and emotional experience that aims to inspire you to embrace the transformative power of self-expression and find moments of inner peace amid life's complexities. I hope you find solace and inspiration in this artwork as much as I did in creating it.

Thank you for taking the time to explore "Momentary Peace" with me. I can't wait for you to experience the beauty and depth of this piece in person.

Stay tuned for more updates and inspiration from my artistic journey. Peace and love to you all.
